ASCII Character Set

ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) is a character-encoding scheme used to convert human readable characters into a code that a computer can understand.

The complete ASCII Character Set includes 0-255 unique characters - 256 in total.

Certain symbologies can encode the completed ASCII set (256 characters)...

ASCII Characters in Data Matrix and Code 128

...while others can encode only a subset of the ASCII set.
